    優(yōu)點：豬可能是動脈粥樣硬化研究較理想的動物模型，包括解剖學(xué)和生理學(xué)與人類相似，動脈結(jié)構(gòu)相似。某些品種的老齡豬在飼喂以人的殘羮剩飯后能產(chǎn)生動脈、冠狀動脈和腦血清粥樣硬化病變，與人的病變非常相似。豬也特別適合于研究應(yīng)激因素與動脈粥樣硬化的關(guān)系。
