AIN-93系列飼料配方主要的變化包括用玉米淀粉代替蔗糖，用大豆油代替玉米油，并增加用量以供應(yīng)必需脂肪酸（亞油酸和亞麻酸）；用L-胱氨酸代替DL-蛋氨酸以補(bǔ)充酪蛋白成分；重新配制礦物混合物，以降低磷、錳和鉻的含量，增加硒的含量，并添加鉬、硅、氟化物、鎳、硼、鋰和釩；維生素E、K-1和B-12的含量均高于AIN-76A維生素混合物中的含量。AIN-93G標(biāo)準(zhǔn)飼料每千克含有200克酪蛋白和70克大豆油，AIN-93M標(biāo)準(zhǔn)飼料每千克含有140克酪蛋白和40克大豆油。

AIN-93系列飼料相比AIN-76A飼料具有更好的營養(yǎng)平衡，是目前實驗室嚙齒動物營養(yǎng)研究的更佳選擇。
